The friendly folks over at the University of New Hampshire have helpfully provided some suggestions for locally grown, sustainable gifts from the clever minds of students and faculty.
If you need more inspiration, this year’s UNH Makers Expo will be held on Friday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Granite State Room at UNH’s Memorial Union Building. More than 50 vendors, all UNH students, faculty and staff members, will be selling their wares.
“Imagine engineers that knit and jewelry by biologists,” a UNH spokesman said. “Grab some friends and get into the spirit by buying something special from a UNH Wildcat.”
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit unh.edu/mub/events/unh-makers-expo.
And if you need some musical inspiration, there’s the Seasonal Spectacular, on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 5 p.m. in UNH’s Johnson Theater. The holiday concert features familiar musical classics and more modern works, performed by UNH’s talented musicians, including the symphony orchestra, wind symphony, concert choir, jazz bands, chamber singers, symphonic band and Wildcat marching band.
Tickets are $20 general admission, $15 for seniors and military members, $10 for students, and $20 live-streaming.
For tickets, visit USNH.evenue.net/events/UNHPA-MU.
