After her son Dan died of an overdose at age 24 in 2010, Toni Torsch co-founded the Daniel Carl Torsch Foundation. She now advocates for policies to help families affected by the addiction crisis. “I don’t think it’s a high bar to let the public see at some reasonable level of granularity where their money is going,” says Corey Davis, a project director at the Network for Public Health Law, where he focuses on substance use policy.
