On Tuesday morning, police were asked to conduct a welfare check and Garcia’s vehicle, a black 2021 Mercedes, was located at the Scammell Bridge rest area off Route 4.

Police determined that the vehicle was parked there and unoccupied from 8:30 p.m. Saturday until Tuesday morning, when it was secured by police.

Garcia is described as a 5-foot-9, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Garcia is originally from Illinois and has ties to the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force ROTC.
