A Nashua man died in a motorcycle crash on the off-ramp from Raymond Wieczorek Drive onto South River Road in Bedford on Wednesday afternoon after failing to negotiate a right-hand turn along the ramp, according to New Hampshire State Police.
The motorcyclist was identified as Brandon G. Roy, 33, according to a news release.
Roy was driving a green 2020 Honda motorcycle when he “lost control of the motorcycle and crashed, suffering life-threatening injuries, and the motorcycle came to rest in the road,” the news release said.
The off-ramp was closed while the Bedford Fire Department attempted to save Roy’s life. He was brought to Elliot Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
State Police conducted a thorough on-scene investigation before the ramp reopened around 7:30 p.m.
State Police were assisted by the Bedford Police Department, Bedford Fire Department and members of the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
The crash investigation is continuing. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation can contact Trooper Noah Brown at 603-223-4381 or noah.c.brown@dos.nh.gov.
