Morse was an employee at Bedford Women’s Care Associates for many years, and became office manager there in 2020. She manipulated the payroll process for the medical group by logging into a third-party server and raising her own rate of pay, authorities said.

Morse obtained what prosecutors called “these ill-gotten gains” for about three years. In her plea agreement, she agreed to pay restitution in the amount of $168,366.66, officials said.

The wire fraud charge carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, and a fine of $250,000.

The FBI led the investigation in the case.
